US-China Relations from 1969-1972

This seven-part series was specially produced to coincide with Laszlo Montgomery’s ten-year anniversary marking the launch of the China History Podcast back in June 2010. To mark the occasion, and also as a nod to the tough times being experienced now in the US-China relationship, this look back on Nixon’s visit to China was considered apropos for the times.

In these seven episodes, the diplomatic engagement that began with back-channel secret talks and concluded with Nixon’s visit to China in 1972 will be presented.
